ABOUT
Here's a page all about the series creator, Joe Laurino.

A bio of sorts, this page will have various tidbits of information about me. I'm writing from the third person it sounds nicer that way.

Joe Laurino and ClickTeam's software
Born in Manhattan, New York on June 27th, 1986, it would seem that Joe Laurino was designed for.. well, Game Design. Taking to computers at an early age, Joe grew up technically saavy. From the time he was a child, he designed games ... well, he didn't know at the time, but he was creating primitive design documents for games.

However, with the creation of Clickteam's Klik and Play software, Joe was able to start working on making games. This Klik and Play language later transformed into The Games Factory, and later, into Multimedia Fusion.

The programming systems utilized in these programs was exactly that - A GUI based game creation system that was simple to learn, but superbly difficult to fully master. Furthermore, it's possibilities are only limited by the mind of the designer. When it's in the hands of someone who's imagination is limitless, great things come out of it.

HyperActive : The Early Years
HyperActive Productions wasn't always called that. No, the company started out with two members ; Joe, who could use Klik and Play, and Bryan Rodriguez, who could not. The name of this duo was simply B&J Productions (and we wondered why the adults laughed at us when we told them that was the name of the company. Hint : Remove the ampersand and let your mind into the gutter for a moment.)

The first titles ever created by Joe at this age were Lightning Jack , a primitive adventure game that takes all of 45 seconds to beat (boss and all) , and Legend of the Time Star, which was a much more impressive endeavor. This RPG took Joe only three weeks to complete and lasted about 20 minutes. At the age of 10, that's a pretty impressive feat.

The HyperActive of Today
A break was taken for four years as Joe and Bryan continued their childhood lives, although game design never took the backseat. For Joe, These years were spent finding himself in his teenage years. At fifteen years of age, Joe was at a new peak in his progress in The Games Factory's improved game creation system. With Bryan Rodriguez and Christopher Sun, HyperActive Productions is reopened. Joe founded HyperActive Productions officially in September of 2001, and the website has been up ever since , with plenty of face-lifts,  acquiring over sixty-thousand hits to this very day.

HyperActive's team has expanded and changed with the years. In 2001, it consisted of Joe, Bryan, and Chris. They were the original team. The next to join was Pio Canlas, a guy who became very good friends with Joe and is the longest member other then Joe and Bryan to stay with the company. His artistic talents and creative vision are highly respected by Joe. After this, Jon Gonzalez and Sam Dungey were brought on board, an artist and musician respectively. In 2004, Sam and Jon left the team to pursue other endeavors that required all of their time.

Anarchy Enterprises
In 2004, HyperActive Productions caught the eye of Anarchy Enterprises and the two companies signed a non-exclusive contract to distrubute any games HyperActive Productions might want to release nationally. However, due to the time that High School was requring of the team, nothing came of the deal. However, to be noticed by Anarchy Enterprises was pretty cool in itself.

JetPack Justice
Joe created his first 'child' in 2001. He calls it his 'child' because he nurtured the idea for a long time before it came around full swing. What was created was the story of a world at peace that used their collective minds to create a duplicate of earth inhabited by small spheroid-like robots with the intelligence of humans. JetPack Justice was created and with it, a world of interesting characters and stories. This is the game that brought many of HyperActive's fans to the table. And Joe has many things planned for it.

More coming soon.
